You have more time than you think you do! These fêtes act like turn-in FATES, which means you actually have an extra minute of time even after the first timer counts down.Don’t be too hasty! Keep an eye on your cast bar as you interact and don’t interrupt your own actions by being in a rush.Click the zero key on your number pad to target the nearest object – even in the middle of a bunch of other players! Click the zero key a second time to interact with that target.Press and hold the X key to hide player names – this is a huge help when it comes to seeing objectives better!.Some fêtes start automatically, some require you to click the Join the FATE button to start – so keep a lookout!.Earning gold will get you 2 boxes per event with a total of 10 boxes by the end. It’s best just to shoot for as many points as you can manage. #1 requires 6 points, #2 requires 3 points, #3 requires 4 points, #4 requires 4 points and #5 requires 6 points. The number of points per fête required to earn gold vary.Group members cannot earn you points, so grouping doesn’t really help or hurt. You can join a group, but the only thing that really counts is your personal contribution. You must be a crafter or gatherer to take part. What you’ll struggle with most is seeing around the massive number of people who are doing the fêtes with you. There’s nothing difficult about the fêtes themselves. When a fête begins, you can expect it to last about 30 minutes between all of the events. To see when the next fête will begin, enter the Firmament and check the timer. Fêtes happen in day-long sessions with a day or two cooldown between them. FFXIV TOWARDS THE FIRMAMENT PATCHWith patch 5.11, Final Fantasy XIV has finally added the much talked about Ishgardian Restoration, a project aimed at both crafters and gatherers.Fêtes are a new type of FATE (some people joke it’s just a misspelling of “fate”) for crafters and gatherers intended to celebrate the completion of the Firmament in Ishgard. Fates are server based and occur when enough turn ins are submitted to fill your server's progress bar. What you may be surprised to learn, however, is you don’t need a gatherer or crafter to unlock it. Another fate occurs several hours after the bar is filled to help make it fair for people in off time zones. Then the next bar needs to be filled to start the next set of fates, and so on until the phase is complete. Complete The Dragonsong War story arc, and return to Ishgard. the best way is to make it so that every fate happens 3 times before progressing. While you may not need a gatherer or crafter to access the new “Towards the Firmament” quest, you will need to be at least level 60 and have completed “Litany of Peace” (which is the conclusion to the Dragonsong War arc, the first half of the post-Heavensward content). so 3 fates in 24 hours so everyone can ge tthere.ģ0 minutes past the bar fill, then once 7:30 past and again 15 and a half hours past. That will be nice and everyone can get involved. Once you have met those requirements you can head to Ishgard and find the new quest right outside the Foundation aetheryte. Once you have accepted the quest you’ll be directed down towards the Brume, where you will meet an old friend. Speak with him, and you’ll be tasked with going back up to The Jeweled Crozier, where you will sit through a seven minute cutscene. Once that is done, you will head back down into the Brume, and unlock access to the Firmament. The Firmament is what you will be rebuilding, and if the map is any indication, it’ll be the new housing ward for Ishgard once it’s repaired. Considering Ishgard housing has been teased for quite some time, it’s only natural Yoshi-P and team decided to make accessing it a server-wide event. FFXIV TOWARDS THE FIRMAMENT FREEOnce you are inside the Firmament, the quest will have you talk to a handful of key NPCs, and once concluded you will be free to contribute, assuming you have a crafter at level 20. Yep, a level 20 gatherer will help here, but the items you turn in for credit are all crafted. It may be best to return to this with at least once crafter at 20, and both Miner and Botanist at 20 if you wish to supply your own materials.
